The Tern Sanctuary inaugurates its incredible Day Pass at Hotel MÍA Reef Isla Mujeres All Inclusive
Today, the MÍA Sustainable Foundation inaugurated the Tern Sanctuary Day Pass at the MÍA Reef Isla Mujeres Hotel, where we were accompanied by some communications media and special guests as Erika Flores Hernández; Director of Environmental Audit of the Office of the Environmental Protection Attorney, Guadalupe Duran Pedraza and Zulma Leticia Aguilar Moguel; CONANP representatives, Fidel Villanueva; Chronicler of Isla Mujeres, Edwin Novelo Ríos; Director of Ecology of Isla Mujeres, the biologist Carlos Barranco, Miguel Moreno; Tourism Protection Directorate, Lic. José Jesús Castillo Magaña; Director of Economy and Tourism in Isla Mujeres, collaborators of the MÍA Sustainable Foundation and the MÍA Reef Isla Mujeres hotel.
Once the ribbon was cut for the Inauguration of the Tern Sanctuary Day Pass, biologist Jonathan Vargas Vega, gave the guests a tour, explaining more about the tern seabird.
The Day Pass of the Sanctuary of the Term include: the sighting of the tern, buffet breakfast, with a duration of 3 hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for $585 Mexican pesos, and a percentage will be destined for the preservation, and care of Tern’s Sanctuary.
Tern adoptions can be carried out, and these consist of the biologist ringing the tern that you choose to adopt, placing a ring on one of its legs and it will have a sheet to identify it. The person who adopts a tern will be awarded an Adoption Certificate. It should be noted that this is the first year that the Fundación MÍA Sustentable rings terns, with the aim of monitoring the tern colony and knowing their statistics.
